I would like to share with you a letter that my two daughters wrote hang up on our table of fame in the house. I was so touched that I could not help but share it with all of you my fellow connectors. Here goes:-
"MY DADDY - APOLLO LAWOKO
My Daddy the greatest man ever
My Dad was always there for me and my sisters,
His family and My mum’s family too
I hope they will all appreciate what my Daddy did for them
He loved us all and set an example
I pray that I will be blessed to be just like him when I grow up
My Dad was such a strong but caring person
And I realize he still had the hardest job of seeing us grow, which never happened.
My Dad died four years ago, but its just like yesterday
There are things that I'd forgotten that I loved about the man
I'll always remember the love in daddy's hands
Daddy's hands were soft and kind when I was crying
Daddy's hands were hard as steel when I'd done wrong
Daddy's hands weren't always gentle
but I've come to understand
There was always love in daddy's hands.
I remember daddy's hands working till they bled
Sacrificed unselfishly just to keep us all fed
If I could do things over, I'd live my life again
And never take for granted the love in daddy's hands
