On 6th February 2006, it is alleged that Aisha Nabukeera got involved in a fateful incident when a spiteful stepmother tricked her into setting herself alight. She suffered major burns from a wick candle fire on her chest, abdomen and legs. Connect Uganda has had two radio programs dedicated to her welfare.
